We love how our wall bulletin organizer dressed up our work space so much that we created a coordinating cubbie to hold pens, notes and of course, our PS Swatchbook. Follow our steps to create a desk organizer of any size, and cover it in your favorite wrapping paper.
A great back to school craft to get your tweens and teens organized or spruce up your own desk (adults can celebrate back to school, too!).
I haven’t been “back to school” in over 10 years, but when the time comes around it is always nice to freshen up my lunch accessories (celebrating “still at work”!). It brightens up the fact that summer is almost over. This year I brought in a bunch of adorable back to school items like backpacks, lunch bags, pencil cases, journals and other fun school supplies.
Some of my favorites are reusable lunch items that I can bring to work everyday. I love to bring leftovers for lunch and the Amy Ruppel Travel Bowl is great for pastas, rice dishes, and even soups! I am also a tea junky, so the matching Amy Ruppel Thermos is perfect – it’s insulated, BPA free and so cute!
When planning your wedding, what inspired you? It’s interesting to reflect on this question after the fact. My friend Linda shared photos she had taken from my wedding in the fall of 2007, and through these photos it’s clear – the place John and I were married, on the shores on Lake Michigan, was the inspiration from which our wedding was built.
The beaches we had walked, so many visits prior, provided the foundation – rocks! Both of us love to comb the beach for smooth, layered rocks and through our visits had collected enough to use as natural wedding favors at the place of each of our guests.
The warm browns and varied greens of the landscape and porch of the inn where we were married inspired our color scheme, including green striped wedding favor bags for the kids and petit chocolate bars – an edible favor for the adults! Read the rest of this entry »
I may not be heading back to school with a fresh supply of notebooks or have a locker in dire need of personalization, but that doesn’t stop my urge this time of year, to get organized. And of course, in the prettiest way possible! This cheery bulletin board made with our brand new Marigolds Wrapping Paper, envelopes and fun accessories will make putting things in their right place an absolute joy!
P.S. If there are kids in your family who would love a project like this, check out our Tween Message Board Workshop in stores August 21 (for ages 9-12).
I love my job! Part of the fun comes when our buyers find a new product that screams creative possibilities – the new Naked Binder (fun name, but I can’t take credit for that) is one of my latest favorites and is the feature of our Creative Organization Workshop taking place this Thursday, August 5.
Here are the ingredients that got me percolating for this workshop:
• The Naked Binder with a solid chipboard cover (which means freedom to play!)
• The Silhouette Machine for cutting perfect letters and phrases
• Our new PS colors
Mix all these ingredients together and you get a colorful, yummy recipe binder complete with dividers.
For only $25 you’ll get to create your own binder with tons of ingredients…plus you’ll learn tips for using the Silhouette Machine (a great way to experience the tool if you’re thinking about buying one)! Sign up now for the Creative Organization Workshop and get inspired to make a functional binder you can use in your home, office or kitchen.
