DIY Moments: Vol.18 No.7
With 6 more weeks of winter on the horizon (thanks Punxsutawney Phil), we’re looking for any excuse to bust out our chinaware and brunch. Seeing as Valentine’s Day is nearing closer and closer, we tapped our friends from Girl Meets Party to plan the ultimate Galentine’s Brunch, full of handmade touches and female friendship. Here’s Jen from Girl Meets Party!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and along with that comes Friendsgiving, a more casual gathering of friends to give thanks for each other before the family comes rolling into town. Our friend Audrey of Love Always, Audrey outdid herself in making a gorgeous spread for her Friendsgiving dinner.
Our large selection of fine papers have an array of gorgeous textures and patterns that are perfect for more than paper crafts – upcycle an old lamp and take it from shabby to chic in just 3 easy steps!
Photo booths are one of the most popular party trends – and for good reason, too! They’re interactive, fun and make for great keepsakes. We’ve come up with two great D.I.Y. options for popular summer events.
To start, you’ll need roll wrap (we used solid wrapping paper, but patterns would be fun, too!) to use as the background. To create our sets, we pinned the paper to a cork board we had in the office, but you can also attach the paper to a ceiling or wall with heavy duty tape.
Valentine’s Day doesn’t just have to be a celebration of love between you and a special someone. Instead, have just as much fun with your girl friends in a festive themed party.
Decorate with hearts and glitter and bake sweet treats while sipping sugary cocktails. What more could you ask for? Here’s everything you need to make your party a hit.
Independence Day is just around the corner, with just enough time to spruce up your place with some patriotic details! Our favorite crafting tool might surprise you….straws!
These red and white paper straws are bright and cheerful, and work in three different crafts! We originally drew inspiration from a Straw Wreath How-To we’ve featured on our blog before. Although it was originally meant for Christmas, we love that all you need to change about this is the ribbon color (try Royal or Lake) and you have a whole new look that screams U-S-A. (Check out the step by step instructions here.)
Without a huge budget for her wedding, but with a certain level of quality in mind, Houston PS fan Kristina and her husband knew just where to go for quality, accessibility, and the perfect color palette. With a hand from PS, a lovely bridesmaid, and creativity, Kristina found the essentials she needed for her Paper & Pool themed wedding.

When it was time to start our wedding budget I knew we had to really save money and do the whole wedding with paper. One, I am a huge paper fan, and two, it was something that seemed to fit our personalities and theme. I have always loved the pool color from Paper Source so we went and bought all of the components of what we needed for our day. I didn’t go in with a real plan. All I knew I wanted was pinwheels!!
