Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, or just sending an everyday greeting, there’s still nothing better than getting a real piece of snail mail. That’s why we’re so excited to partner with the Write_On Campaign to promote the joy, creativity and expression that comes with hand-written correspondence.

What is it? As part of the Write_On campaign, Paper Source, along with Egg Press, Hello!Lucky and Sakura Gelly Roll Pens, is on a mission to truly celebrate National Letter Writing Month (April). We urge you to write a letter to someone daily, with the hopes of continuing the act of writing throughout the year.

How can you take the Write_On challenge? Start writing! Try to write a letter every day for the rest of April, and continue sending friends hand-written greetings throughout the year. You’ll be amazed at what a difference the personal gesture can make!

Get inspired. If you’re looking for more reasons to write, look no further! Drop a simple note to a friend, write your favorite business or give thanks to a former teacher. And search the #write_on hashtag to see what others are creating.

Fabulous idea! This was a New Years resolution that I have yet to complete, but I can’t wait to start in April. I’m a middle school language arts teacher as well and I’m toying with the idea of asking my students to participate in the challenge with me and each other.

    I am IN!
I love letter writing, but often life gets in the way. I love the challenge of one per day for this month 🙂

  6. Melody O'Grady says:

What a lovely idea! I already have a list of people to whom I plan to write letters. I really miss getting mail that doesn’t contain the words “please remit.” 🙂

  7. Kate Kaufman says:

Excellent idea! I have been a letter writer for years and started feeling that I was the last of my kind. What joy to find there are others like me. Now that cards and letters are rare, they are also greater treasures. I’ve been looking for a program that provides cards to shut-ins, elderly, perhaps in conjunction with a Meals on Wheels effort and would love information about any if anyone has it. Until then, Write on! indeed, my friends.

  8. Debbie Davis says:

I had been thinking that I write very few letters to friends anymore. What a great way to kick off an endearing habit! Thank you for the idea! I will take the challenge!

    My sister away at college!

I write at least four letters a week, one to each of my kids. I’m also in a couple of art groups where we exchange art pieces, mine are cards each week. I love writing letters!

    Hi Paper Source,

Fun challenge! I love writing on paper and especially the paper from Paper Source. aLLLL of my Christmas Cards were from Paper Source in 2014 and I loved writing them, addressing them, and attaching a US MAil Stamp. I accept your challenge and have sent a ‘thank you note’ in April, 3 Easter cards, and will send a Bday card in April, a shower Card in April, and accept your challenge to send ‘friends’ good wishes in the US Mail
I hope you pick my name for the Write On Kit! . Happy Spring! Thank you, Susan Bowman from Moline, Illinois

Great idea! Someone recently told me how bad their handwriting is because they don’t write anymore. I proudly commented that I still do! A handwritten note requires you to think about the recipient longer, therefore giving the gift if your time!

  15. We are so excited to see all of these great ideas!!
